Project Overview

Adaptaclima 2 is the continuation of the Adaptaclima 1 project that ran from 2009 to 2011. ADAPTACLIMA II was born from the need to highlight studies and analyses, the conclusions and recommendations developed in the ADAPTACLIMA project and in other projects co-financed by SUDOE.ADAPTACLIMA’s objective can be summarized in three main words: to collect, disseminate and apply. The objective is to capitalise on the knowledge on adaptation to climate change, the fight against climate change and then apply the recommended measures. These measures will be promoted and then implemented through working groups called clusters. These clusters are the link between policies, the field and issues.

Project Results

The project made it possible to carry out in-depth studies concerning the territories, the impacts on the territories but also the solutions for the area. The case of the Dordogne illustrates the results. The study established an agricultural and water management project in order to be able to adapt the department and more specifically the catchment areas to climate change.
