CIRCLE-2 – Climate Impact Research & Response Coordination for a Larger Europe – 2nd Generation ERA-Net -Science meets Policy
Project Overview
CIRCLE-2 (Climate Impact Research and Response Coordination for a Larger Europe) aims to further reinforce coordination and cooperation between national, regional and European research programmes on adaptation to climate change. The objective is to share knowledge among institutions and improve access to funding.The objective of the programme is to coordinate research within the European area and to set up a common funding system. The program is well named, the objective is to create a circle of 34 research groups (23 countries) to share knowledge about climate change adaptation and then open new research. To achieve this objective, the programme aims to:
-Set up a common agenda between the different research groups, use the same language between the organizations.
-Fund projects between the different research groups.
-Create a database on climate change, share knowledge within Europe.

Project Results
Creation of a public database about climate change adaptation research (internet site doesn’t work), participation approximately 50 meetings between 2010 and 2014,creation of a public web site (not accessible)
