EMOVE – Estuaries on the Move
Project Overview
In the project “Estuaries on the MOVE” (EMOVE), four partners from four different North Sea Region countries (The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Sweden) work together to provide insight on what we know and need to find out by research or pilots to maintain accessible, flood safe and ecological resilient estuaries and ports. With the numerous stakeholders EMOVE represents, the project will put efforts in turning these stakeholders into “committed shareholders”. Above all, the project will develop a joint vision on how to be able to maintain accessible estuaries and the ports linked to these estuaries. EMOVE will deliver an Innovative Virtual Communication Platform (IVCP) as a way to facilitate (trans)national and regional communication and cooperation concerning complex spatial problems for estuaries. With this knowledge and the community led approach, accessibility of harbours and estuarine areas will be improved.
